Thomas A. Palermo

Thomas A. Palermo, 55 of Merrimack, NH died Aug. 24, 2012 in Berwick, ME from injuries sustained in a work place accident.

He was born in Methuen, MA on Aug. 1, 1957 a son of Doria (Houle) Palermo, of Salem, NH and the late Carmello Palermo.

Tom was raised in Salem, NH, and graduated from Salem High School in 1976. He was also a former resident of Derry and Hillsboro before moving to Merrimack in 1990.

He was currently employed with Redimix Companies as a Driver Safety Supervisor. He had also worked for Digital Equipt Corp for 20 years.

Tom enjoyed camping, his home, and taking long rides with his family, and also caring for their two dogs, Kolby and Kelly, his “other kids”.

He is pre-deceased by his mother in-law, Nancy Eddy, and a brother in-law, Walter Eddy.

Members of his family include his wife and best friend of 27 yrs, Elizabeth (Eddy) Palermo, of Merrimack, three sons, Mario, his finacee, Sara, her son Chris of West Paris, ME; SPC Garrick Palermo and his wife Janelle of Lansing, NY, and Jacob and his finacee Cassie of Merrimack, NH; seven sisters, Marie and her husband Cliff Carroll of Rome, NY; Antoinette Mondalto of Reading, MA, Carolyn Palermo of Salem, NH; Roberta and her husband Charles Hatch of Lewiston, ME; Diane Palermo of Manchester, NH; Loretta and her husband George Packard of Lawrence, MA; and Theresa and her husband John Robinson of Nashua, NH; 2 brothers and sisters in-law, Louis and Kathy Palermo of Windham, NH and Robert and Joy Palermo of Haverhill, MA, 19 nieces and nephews, and 18 great- nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be at the Rivet Funeral Home, 425 Daniel Webster Hwy, Merrimack Thursday Aug. 30, 2012 from 5-8 PM. Funeral service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home Friday at 11 AM. Burial will follow in Last Rest Cemetery, Merrimack, NH.
