Donna Lou Charles, 59, of Merrimack passed away on Monday July 22, 2013 at St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua after a sudden illness.
She was born on February 27, 1954 in Nashua, NH to Lester and Madeline (Worrad) Langley. Donna was a graduate of the Merrimack High School class of 1972 and was employed for many years at the Bank of New Hampshire in Manchester.
Donna is survived by her best friend and loving husband of 41 years, William Charles; a son, Shawn Charles and his wife Kristine of Hampstead; a daughter, Amanda Charles and her fiancé Kevin Beaudette of Merrimack; three grandchildren, Alyssa Brier, Ethan and Ashleigh Charles; father and step-mother, Lester and Elizabeth Langley; mother Madeline Langley; three sisters, Lisa and her husband Michael Volante of Merrimack, Cindy and her husband Don Duhaime of New Boston, and Pam Baker of Manchester; mother-in-law, Edna Charles of Alton; and several nieces and nephews.
Donna enjoyed the relaxation of boating on beautiful Lake Winnepesaukee, she had a talent for making crafts and home decorating, and loved music, nature walks, hummingbirds, flowers, and above all, spending quality time with her loving family. Her hugs, infectious laughter, and company will be missed by all her family and friends who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Funeral services are to be held privately at the convenience of the family.
