Alfred "Bud" G. Hauchwit, 78 of Merrimack, NH passed away on Monday, April 17, 2023, at home with his loving wife by his side.

He was born and raised in Passaic, NJ, the son of Alfred and Lucille Hauchwit. He graduated from William Paterson University with Bachelors degree in Special Education.  Prior to his retirement, he was employed by Bergen County Special Services, teaching multiple handicapped students for 29 years. He was an active member of Christ the King Lutheran Church in Ringwood, NJ, before retiring to NH.

He and his wife, Betty of 56 years, met at St. John's Lutheran Church of Passaic, NJ as children and encouraged and supported each other through their schooling and marriage. Bud will be missed, but never forgotten by his sister Leslie Lutz, as well as a very large, loving and caring extended family and circle of friends. He was predeceased by his daughter Jennifer Lynn Hauchwit.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend Bud's Celebration of LIfe service on Saturday April 29th, 2023, at 10:30 AM at Grace Lutheran Church located at 130 Spit Brook Road, Nashua NH.
