Alice B. Ankerud, 96, of Goffstown, NH and former longtime resident of Tonawanda, NY, passed away on Monday, June 1st, 2026 at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack, NH after a period of declining health.

She was born in Buffalo, NY on July 15th, 1929 to the late Alexander and Marie (Tedesco) Molnar. She was raised in North Tonawanda, NY and was a graduate of Kensington High School. Alice was for many years an active supporter of Boy Scout Troop 167 in Kenmore/Tonawanda NY and was the “Scout Mom” for several summer camp sessions.

Alice worked as a medical secretary for four decades and later for assisted living facilities around Amherst, NY before her retirement in 2018.

Along with her parents and her beloved husband of 58 years Nils Peter, she was pre-deceased by her three of her four sisters, Martha Campagna, Claire Allen, and Andrea Ernest. Her older sister Rosalie turned 103 years old.

She is survived by her two children, Eric Ankerud, Sr. and his wife Lori and Marc Ankerud; two grandchildren, Sara and Eric, Jr. along with many nieces and nephews.
