Anna T.
Chevalier
September 24, 1936 – December 30, 2023
Anna T. Chevalier, 87, of Bedford, NH, formerly a longtime resident of West Warwick, RI passed away on Saturday, December 30, 2023 in the Catholic Medical Center, Manchester, NH. She was born in West Warwick, RI, a daughter of the late Delphis and Elizabeth (Pelletier) Lepine.
Mrs. Chevalier worked as a clerk for many years for the West Warwick, RI Tax Collectors Office and clerked for the KCMH (Kent County Memorial Hospital) in Warwick, RI. She was an extremely proud woman and was a strong and faithful communicant of St. Joseph Church in West Warwick, RI. Mrs. Chevalier was a member of the VFW with her husband Maurice and enjoyed all the events they attended together there. She was also a strong supporter of all of her sons' activities and sports growing up. She loved watching her New England Patriots every week, but lately was a little disappointed in them.
She is survived by her two sons; Gregory R. Chevalier and Gary J. Chevalier and his wife Melissa (Cahoon), by her grandson; Andrew G. Chevalier and his wife Danielle, by her great-granddaughter; Amelia J. Chevalier and by her former daughter in law; Valerie A. (Lapackdy) Chevalier; by nephew Wayne Tatro; by God daughter Beth (Tillier) Tierney. She was predeceased by her husband; Maurice A. Chevalier, by her daughter-in-law; Tammy G. (DaSilva) Chevalier, by her sister; Elizabeth Tatro, by her very good friend; June Oates; by special friend Martin Sinnett.
Services will be held at St. Joseph Church, 854 Providence St. West Warwick RI on Saturday January 13 at 10:00 AM. A private burial will take place in St. Joseph Cemetery, West Greenwich, RI on March 11 where she will be joined again with her husband Maurice.
Anna was active at St Joseph Church where she was baptized, confirmed, married, brough up her sons and a long-time member of the choir. Donations can be sent to the address stated above.
Anna was a lover of all animals and birds (except for skunks and possums found in her garage, squirrels trying to take a nap with her and bats hanging in her den window.) It is fitting that memorial contributions in Anna's memory can be made to the Humane Society of Greater Nashua. https://www.hsfn.org/tributegifts/
