Obituary

Arlene H. Sallet, 91, of Bedford passed away on Sunday, September 20 th , 2020 at the Ridgewood Center in Bedford after a period of declining health.  She was the widow of the late Andrew P. Sallet who died in 2002.

She was born in Madison, WI on May 29 th , 1929 to Benjamin and Virl Clark Bader.

Arlene was a homemaker for many years, raising her four children. Her husband's career took them from Illinois, Massachusetts, Colorado, New Hampshire, Florida, and Arizona.  She enjoyed seeing different parts of the country.  Everywhere she lived she planted flower beds and vegetable gardens.  She enjoyed many productive hobbies such as knitting elaborate sweaters, hats and mittens.  She made many hand stitched quilts and was a very good baker.  She made wonderful breads and taught herself cake decorating.  Once her children were older, she worked for Off The Wall and Minds in Motion day care facilities for over 20 years.  She thoroughly enjoyed working with children.

Along with her husband Andrew, she was pre-deceased by siblings; Matthew Bader, Azel Bader, Clarence Bader, Mary Kennedy, Velma Bader, Ben (Buck) Bader and Floyd Bader.

She will be forever loved and remembered by her four children, Alan Sallet of Manchester, Kathie Shattuck of Merrimack, and Mark and Andrew Sallet, both of Nashua; sister Kathy Chaffee; one grandson; two great-granddaughters; a sister, Kathy Chaffee along with many nieces, nephews and extended family in Wisconsin and Illinois.

A graveside comital service will be held privately for the immediate family.
