Barbara Ann
Courtemanche
March 8, 1932 – February 14, 2025
Barbara Ann Courtemanche, 92, of Nashua, NH passed away on Friday, February 14th, 2025 at the Fairview Nursing Home in Hudson, NH after a period of declining health.
She was born in New Bedford, MA on March 8th, 1932 to the late William Seddon and Ruth (Lindgren) Olsen. Raised in New Bedford, she was a graduate of New Bedford High School.
Barbara worked much of her life for many different companies including Aquatech Gunite Pools and USCI Bard. She was a secretary accountant and as she would say "girl Friday". In her 20's, she raced MG's in underground car races and was very proud that she actually won the last race she was in. She owned and loved to drive the little red MG that she had. She enjoyed playing piano, gardening and being a part of her Catholic community. She was always very invested in whatever church we were at. She loved to teach children about her faith. She truly appreciated the life we had as a military family and the traveling we did around the world.
Along with her parents, she was pre-deceased by her husband of 57 years, Edward W. Courtemanche in 2010; her step-father, Kristian Olsen; brother Stuart "Buddy" Seddon and an infant sister, Ruth Ann Seddon.
She will be forever loved and remembered by her three daughters, Lisa Courtemanche, Julie and her husband Tom Koitzsch and Renee and her husband Rick Botnick; five grandchildren, Samantha, Alex, Cassie, Nick and Zack along with several nieces and nephews.
Visitation hours will be held at the Rivet Funeral Home, 425 Daniel Webster Highway, Merrimack NH on Friday, February 21st, 2025 from 4 – 7 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 16 Baboosic Lake Road, Merrimack, NH on Saturday, February 22nd, 2025 at 10:30 AM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Barbara's memory can be made to Saint Jude helping children with cancer. This was a cause near and dear to her heart.
