Bertrand Faucher, resident of Nashua, NH, died on October 16, 2020 at Southern New Hampshire Regional Medical Center, surrounded by loved ones.
Bertrand was born in Manchester, NH on November 28, 1935 to Emile and Germaine Faucher. He joined the United States Air Force and served in the Korean War. He returned home and was proudly called to serve again. He can be seen in the background of Three Stooges in Space , which was filmed on his military base. Upon returning home for the second time, Bertrand married his first wife and raised four daughters, of whom he was very proud. He retired from Digital Equipment Corporation and managed the kitchens at Rockingham Park and Oblate Retreat House. Later in life, Bertrand married Jacqueline Duquette and doubled the size of his family with three adult stepsons.
Bertrand was a longtime active member of the Nashua Elks Lodge and held several offices, including Exalted Ruler (twice) and District Deputy. He enjoyed playing cribbage, cheering on his favorite football team, the New England Patriots, cooking, and watching Jeopardy . He will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him.
Bertrand is survived by his wife, Jacqueline (née Duquette); his sisters, Claire Lesnyk, Madeleine Bilodeau, and Marcelle Duval; his daughters, Sheree Faucher, Cathy Faucher, Donna Vrouhas (née Faucher), and Jennifer Faucher; his stepsons, Robert Duquette, Claude Duquette, and Richard Duquette; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by his parents, Emile and Germaine Faucher, and his sister, Julie Boisvert.
A burial service is scheduled for 10:30 AM, on Thursday November 5th at the Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen, NH. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
