Bradford "Brad" Anctil, 87, a lifelong resident of Merrimack, NH passed away Tuesday, November 29, 2022 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Merrimack, NH on June 1, 1935 he is the son of the late Roland and Germaine (LaFontaine) Anctil.
Brad served in the U.S. Air Force as an air traffic controller, stationed in Germany from 1953-1957. After an honorable discharge from the military, he enjoyed a 34-year career with Sanders Associates as a Quality Assurance Manager.
Brad was a founding member of the Merrimack Youth Association, serving as a director and manager and coach of several teams for many years. He was a member of the Kiwanis Club, and an usher at Our Lady of Mercy Parish in Merrimack. An avid outdoorsman and fisherman, Brad enjoyed spending time with family and friends at his cabins on the Connecticut Lakes in Pittsburg, NH. He enjoyed sports and watching New England teams. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and attending their many school and athletic events over the years. In retirement, he and his wife traveled to Europe, Alaska, and the Caribbean. He enjoyed trips to Foxboro with the Senior Citizens Club and playing cribbage in leagues with friends in Merrimack and Nashua.
He is survived by his wife, Susan of Merrimack; his children Susan and husband Kenneth Levenson of Nottingham, Thomas Anctil of Merrimack, Charles Anctil and wife Melissa of Washington, NH, and Brian Anctil of Manchester; his grandchildren Glenn, Collin, and Bethany Levenson, Brad Anctil and Caylee Lugo; his sister Yolande and husband Sam Kambol, along with several nieces and nephews.
Friends and relatives are kindly invited to attend calling hours on Tuesday, December 6, 2022 from 4-6 PM at the Rivet Funeral Home, 425 Daniel Webster Highway, Merrimack, NH. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 18 Baboosic Lake Road, Merrimack, NH on Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at 9 AM. Burial will follow at St. Louis Cemetery, 752 West Hollis Road, Nashua, NH.
