Obituary

Carol Joyce Dionne passed away on Wednesday September 3rd, 2025, at Hanover Hill Health Care Center after a period of declining health.

She was born in Nashua, NH on February 10th, 1937, to the late Anne Ida (Soucy) and Maxwell Pombrio. Raised in Nashua, she attended school there and graduated from Nashua High School in 1954.

In her early years Carol worked at Nashua Corporation and Green Ridge Turkey Farm. She also worked at the Post Office satellite office in The Blushing Rose, and Gateways Community Services for many years until her retirement.

In her free time Carol enjoyed knitting, tennis, bowling, and golfing. She loved the idea of a good adventure, although her adventures did not always turn out as she planned but she sure had a good time.

Along with her parents, Carol is predeceased by her husband Leon Dionne and her brothers Robert and Richard Pombrio.

She is survived by five children, Luanne Roy and her husband Al, Scott Dionne and his wife Roberta, Jill Dionne, Tracey Gubbins and her husband Glenn, and Amy Wadland and her husband Greg; five grandchildren, Kyle Roy, Kelsey Reynolds, Kayla McCarthy, Cody Gubbins and Lukas Wadland; four great grandchildren, Maverick and Walker McCarthy, and Sawyer and Waylon Reynolds; as well as several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday September 16th, 2025, at 12:00 PM at the New Hampshire Veteran's cemetery located at 110 Daniel Webster Highway in Boscawen, NH.

The family would like to thank the staff in the memory care unit at Hanover Hill Health Care and the VNA Hospice team for all they did for Carol this year.
