Charlene Valerie Hafner, 76 of Merrimack, New Hampshire passed away at her home surrounded by loved ones on September 15th, 2023. She was born in Lowell, Massachusetts on September 15th, 1947, to the late Roy and Lillian Jacobus.

Charlene grew up in Chelmsford, Massachusetts and graduated from Chelmsford High School. She then moved to Merrimack, New Hampshire in 1979 where she raised her children and worked as a records clerk for the Nashua Police Department for 27 years. In her free time, Charlene loved to craft, spend time outdoors, and volunteer for Day Away.

In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her brother Douglas Jacobus and her sister Heather MacMillian Deshaes.

Charlene is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, William Hafner; her son James Patenaude of Merrimack, New Hampshire; her daughter Kimberly Patenaude - St. George of Gilmanton, New Hampshire; and her grandchildren, Cameron and Paige St. George and Brooke Duchesne.

Per the family's request, there will not be a public visitation or service.
