Charles R. Balban, 72, of Manchester, NH passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 23rd, 2025 at his home.

He was born in Manchester, NH on January 21st, 1953, son of the late Walter Balban and Doris Leblond. Raised in Manchester, he was a graduate of Memorial High School.

Charles worked as a sheet metal worker for many years, retiring from Empire Sheet Metal in 2006. After retirement, he served three years as President of the New Hampshire Alliance for Retired Americans and also spent many years as Chair and a Trustee of the Sheet Metal Workers Local 17 Union advocating for current workers and retirees' benefits. In his free time, Charles greatly enjoyed the outdoors including fishing, hunting, and camping.

Along with his parents, he was pre-deceased by a sister, Lana Boudreau.

He is survived by his son Nicholas Balban; former wife, Karen Balban; two siblings, Janice Brock and Marc Balban along with several nieces and nephews.

A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
