Obituary

Charles Q. Hall passed away on April 12, 2025, in Milo, Maine.

He was born in West Stewartstown, NH on June 25th, 1937 to the late Carold and Hilda Hall.

He served in the National Guard from 1958 to 1961. Then, he volunteered with the Merrimack Fire Department. With hard work and dedication, he rose to the position of Fire Chief and proudly served in this role for 20 years.

Charlie had a lifetime passion for singing; he was a member of the Merrimack Choral Society, St. James Methodist Church and The Barnstormers.

He was predeceased by his loving wife of 47 years, Elaine Hall, and his longtime partner, Shirley Gritz, as well as his brothers, Bernie and J. Frank Hall.

He is survived by his two sons, Kevin Hall of Tucson, Arizona, and Greg Hall of Milo, Maine; five granddaughters; six great-grandchildren; his sister, Betty Greenleaf and his sister-in-law, Tina Healey.

A graveside service will be set at a later date. Per Charlie's wishes, there will be no other services.

In place of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the American Cancer Society.
