Charles E. Mercier, 83, of Effingham, NH passed away on September 15 ^th , 2022 after a period of declining health.

He was born in North Reading, MA on April 12 ^th , 1939 to the late George and Dorothy (Maybury) Mercier. He worked as a Press Man for many companies during his career. After his semi-retirement, he worked as a part-time as a delivery driver for Napa Auto Parts in Conway, NH.

Before Charlie's retirement, he lived in Merrimack for over 30 years. He was an avid hunter and gardener and loved his New England Sports.  He loved spending time with his family and friends and was known for his sarcastic and joking personality.

Along with his parents, Charlie was pre-deceased by a sister, Jane Shane and a grandson, Eric Driscoll.

He will be forever loved and remembered by his wife of 61 years, Carol (Croteau) Mercier; three daughters, Brenda Driscoll, Patty and her husband Donn Witzenbocker and Karen Silva; six grandchildren, Adam Driscoll and his wife Teri, Devan and her husband Jeff Agnew, Kyle Witzenbocker, Brandon and Patrick Johnson and Thomas Silva IV; one great grandchild, Bradley Johnson; two siblings, Ann Mercier and Arthur Mercier, along with several nieces and nephews.

Visitation hours will be held at the Rivet Funeral Home, 425 Daniel Webster Highway, Merrimack on Thursday, September 29th from 3 - 6 PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Charlie's memory can be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
