Obituary

Charles "Chuck" F. Watters Jr, 77, of Milford NH passed away on Saturday, January 22nd, 2022 at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack after a period of declining health. He was born in Boston, MA on March 30th, 1944 to the late Edna May (Hedberg) and Charles F Watters, Sr.

Chuck grew up in Charleston, MA, graduated from Burlington High and was very active on the football, basketball and gymnastics teams as well as in Drama Club and Year Book Committees.

He was a successful businessman having owned a division of Remy North American Van Lines Moving and Storage Co.. He held management positions at Comp USA and Staples and later became a Manager for Shaw's, retiring at the age of 72.  Chuck was a people person and enjoyed the leadership role.

Chuck was an avid sports fan. He coached his daughter's softball and basketball teams in Hudson NH. He was fan favorite to New England Teams and especially enjoyed watching his grandchildren in their events.

He was a lover of life enjoying trips to Hampton Beach, surrounding lakes, music concerts and especially loved to dance.  Chuck also loved taking pictures and was known to be the one behind the video camera at family events capturing special moments.

Along with his parents, Chuck was pre-deceased by his brother-in-law Vincent "Vinny" Bartolucci and his father's wife Elaine Watters.

He will forever be loved and remembered by his three daughters, Christine and her husband David Russel, Cheryl Celia, Charlene and her husband Derek Talbot, along with their mother Sandra Watters; five grandchildren Tyler, Colby, Jenna, Annemarie and Adam; his partner & significant other Danielle McDuffie; four siblings Edna Bartolucci, Janice and her husband Mike Michaud, David Watters and wife Christine and Lauren Durkin along with several nieces and nephews.

Memorial visitation hours will be held at the Rivet Funeral Home, 425 Daniel Webster Hwy, Merrimack NH on Sunday January 30th, 2022 from 12-2pm. A memorial service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home at 2pm.

For those who wish, memorial contributions in Chuck's memory can be made to Kennebec Valley Humane Society https://pethavenlane.org/donate/ which is the animal shelter that Sam (Chuck's best friend) was adopted from; or to the Cancer Center at St Joseph Hospital in Nashua NH.
