Leblanc, Jr.
December 5, 1942 – January 23, 2024
David W. LeBlanc, Jr., 81, of Manchester, NH and formerly of Merrimack, NH, passed away on Tuesday, January 23rd, 2024 at Catholic Medical Center in Manchester, NH after a period of declining health.
He was born in Waltham, MA on December 5th, 1942 to the late Sophie (Stanton) and David W. LeBlanc, Sr. He was raised in Watertown, MA and graduated from Watertown High School.
David served in the U.S. Air Force from 1964 – 1968 during the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged at the rank of Sergeant. He then went to work for TWA and American Airlines in ramp service and worked for over 40 years before his retirement in 2002.
David loved his little animal friends, for which there were too many to mention. He had a passion for aviation, the History Channel and New England seafood. He was a man of few words but was quick to engage in conversation surrounding his service in Vietnam for which he was proud and honored to have served.
He was pre-deceased by his brother-in-law, Frederick Fischer.
He will be forever loved and remembered by his wife of 47 years, Janet (Rodgers) LeBlanc; three children, Christopher LeBlanc and his wife Diane, Carolyn LeBlanc and her fiancé Jason Retherford and Colin LeBlanc; three grandchildren, Sophie, Mia and Lillian; two siblings, Diane Fischer and Denis LeBlanc and his wife Dana along with many nieces and nephews.
Visitation hours will be held at the Rivet Funeral Home, 425 Daniel Webster Highway, Merrimack NH on Sunday, January 28th from 1 – 3 PM. Burial will be held privately at the NH VA Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
