Obituary

Deborah L. Crouthamel, 71, of Merrimack, NH passed away on Saturday, January 3rd, 2026, at her home surrounded by family after a long battle with ALS.

She was born in Allentown, PA on April 10th, 1954, daughter of the late William Sharp and Joanne (Shupp) Scarfo. Raised in Allentown, PA, she was a graduate of William Allen High School.

For many years, Deb (Debbie) lovingly provided in-home daycare where so many families brought their children. She made a profound impact not only on the lives of these children but their families as well. She was also involved in Merrimack youth sports and was proud to have served on the MYA Executive Board for 15 years and the MYA Soccer Board for 3 years which allowed her to impact many more families.

In her free time, Deb enjoyed spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren. She loved to cook and bake as often as possible. She also loved watching sports such as tennis, college basketball, and college football.

She will be forever loved and remembered by her husband, Michael Crouthamel; three children, Michael Crouthamel II and his wife Megan O'Neill, Matthew Crouthamel and his wife Ashlee, and Becky and her husband John Dalrymple; affectionately known as DeeDee to her five grandchildren, Bayleigh, Brody, Gavin, Madelyn and Evelyn; two brothers, William Sharp and his wife Joyce and Jon Sharp and his wife Brenda along with many nieces and nephews.

Visitation hours will be held at the Rivet Funeral Home, 425 Daniel Webster Highway, Merrimack, NH on Friday, January 9th from 5 – 7:30 PM with a period of remembrance by family and friends to start at 7 PM. Deb has requested that people do not wear black but bright colors instead.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations in Deb's memory be made to the ALS Association at www.als.org
