Deborah
Mccabe-Atamanchuk
May 19, 1952 – October 15, 2024
Debbie McCabe-Atamanchuk made her final transition on the morning of October 15, 2024, at the age of 72, succumbing to stage four pancreatic cancer. Surrounded by her loving family, she faced her final days with the same strength, grace, and compassion that defined her life. While our hearts mourn her loss, we take comfort in knowing she is no longer suffering.
Debbie lived her life as an optimist and a hard worker, always striving to spread kindness and love. She often expressed that her favorite job was being a mother and raising her four children, a role she cherished more than any other. Debbie was the proud founder of Bite Me Kupcakez, an allergen-friendly bakery that provides cakes and sweets to families and children who might otherwise not be able to enjoy such treats. She took immense pride in providing these goodies, especially for children, and stressed how important it was for her family to continue this meaningful work.
Debbie resided in Merrimack, NH, in her beautiful pink home, where she filled each room with warmth, love, and joy. In addition to her love for family, Debbie cherished the beauty of nature—her garden, flowers, and trees brought her peace, and she found joy in sharing that beauty with others.
In Debbie's final thoughts, she shared her pride for all of her children and expressed sincere thanks to her friends for their love and support throughout her life. Every Christmas, she would wish only for world peace and the happiness of her family, never asking for anything for herself.
Debbie is survived by her loving husband, Stephen Atamanchuk; her four children: son Jon Howarth, daughter-in-law Kathy Howarth, and their daughter Julia Howarth (Debbie's first granddaughter); Matthew Vincenty; daughter Lindsey Dooley, son-in-law Derek Dooley; and daughter Rebecca Boutin, son-in-law Dylan Boutin, and their four children, Lilly, Zoey, Carly, and Corey. She is also survived by her beloved sister, Roberta Donovan, and her three nieces.
In honor of Debbie's final wishes, her family will be holding a Celebration of Life will be held at 4 Mound Court, Merrimack NH on Sunday, June 22nd, 2025 at 3:30 PM. Her garden, which she loved so dearly, will serve as the backdrop for sharing photos, videos, and stories about Debbie and how she brought love and happiness to all. The family will plant an apple tree in her honor and have a bench made with a plaque to commemorate her. All who are able are invited to pay their respects, and in keeping with Debbie's bright spirit, please wear bright colors to commemorate Debbie's bright beautiful soul.
Debbie's family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to Merrimack Hospice for their compassionate care and support during her final journey. In lieu of flowers, people can donate to the GoFundMe: Bite Me Kupcakez: A Bakery in crisis account at https://gofund.me/f0bcca77; these funds will be used to fulfill Debbie's dream, finish the addition, and build Bite Me Kupcakez bigger and better. She left us a heartfelt letter with all her Bite Me wishes! Alternatively, donations can be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network at PanCAN.org so we can help ensure no family has to experience this kind of heartache.
Debbie's love will live on in the hearts of everyone she touched. May her beautiful spirit rest in peace, as her kindness and compassion continue to inspire us all.
