Donald Lee Lewis Sr, 83, of Merrimack passed away on Saturday August 29 ^th at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack after a period of declining health.

He was born in Coulterville, IL on February 19, 1937, one of 7 children of the late Kermit Lewis and Dorothy Lewis Mitchell. Donald joined the United States Army at 17. He and his wife moved to Merrimack in 1976. Prior to retirement, Donald worked at Nashua Corp from 1966 to 1992. After retiring he was an active member of the Merrimack Senior Center and enjoyed gardening and fishing.

Donald was predeceased by his loving wife of 56 years Jeannine Luneau Lewis, his parents , 2 brothers and 4 sisters.

Surviving members of Donald's family include three children: Evelyn Currie and her husband David, Donald Lewis Jr and his wife Janice and Dyana Lewis . 10 grandchildren: Courtney Deloge, Whitney French and her husband Damon, Sidney Currie, Oliver Currie, Donald Lewis III, Nicole Barnett and her husband Nathan, Eileen Santerre and her husband James, John Treacy, Lauren Treacy and Ryan Lewis . 5 great grandchildren: Jackson French, Riley French, Jackson Santerre, Lillian Barnett and Henry Barnett.

Due to current health and safety concerns , funeral services for Donald will be limited to immediate family members and held privately. Donald's internment will take place at Last Rest Cemetery in Merrimack.
