Doris "Toots" Bresse, 91, of Tilton, NH passed away on Sunday, September 28th, 2025 at Concord Hospital in Laconia, NH after a period of declining health.

She was born in Strafford, NH on March 28th, 1934 to the late Frank and Alma (Gagnon) Roby. Raised in Stratford, she was a graduate of Stratford High School.

Doris worked for many years at Zyla's in Merrimack. Toots enjoyed playing bingo in her younger years, camping, crossword puzzles and going to mass. She was a huge fan of the Boston Red Sox, but most of all she loved spending time with her family and friends laughing.

She was pre-deceased by her husband Edmund Bresse in 2006, 4 brothers and 5 sisters.

Surviving family members include four daughters, Lisa Hagen, Kelly Chavanelle, Kim Bresse and Betty St. Onge; seven grandchildren, Deanna, Jaclyn, Taylor, Amy, Jessica, Aubrey and Zachary; seven great-grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews.

Visitation hours will be held at the Rivet Funeral Home, 425 Daniel Webster Highway, Merrimack on Thursday, October 2nd, 2025 from 5 – 7 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 16 Baboosic Lake Road, Merrimack on Friday, October 3rd at 9:30 AM. Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
