Douglas T. Paine, 79, of Merrimack passed away on Wednesday March 29 ^th , 2023 at his home after a long battle with cancer.

He was born in Cleveland, OH on November 7 ^th , 1943 to the late Russell and Helen (Thompson) Paine. Raised in Cleveland, he graduated from Orange High School and from "The" Ohio State University and Rivier College.

Doug enjoyed farming and gardening, traveling, watching the Patriots and Red Sox, learning about new things and spending time with his friends and family.

He will be forever loved and remembered by his wife of 47 years, Deborah (Thompson) Paine; two sons, John Paine and his wife Melissa Miller, and Thomas Paine and his wife Kimberley; seven grandchildren, Jessica Smith, Temper Paine, Peregrin Paine, Zachary Smith, Isaac Paine and his wife Sarah, Hannah Paine, and Ellianna Paine; a brother, Rodger Paine and his wife Andrea; a niece Elizabeth Will; and he was a friend of Bill for the past 22+ years.

A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.
