June 14, 1935 – December 5, 2021
Edna DiMartino (Yeomans), 86, of Merrimack NH, passed away peacefully in her home on Sunday, December 5, 2021.
Edna was born on June 14, 1935, in Somerville, MA where she met her soulmate, the late Richard A. DiMartino of Medford, MA. They celebrated 60 years of marriage together in 2016.
Edna found joy in supporting and loving her family members including her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Edna and her husband Richard made it a priority to gather the family together for a big Italian meal on Sunday's and holidays. A giant smile could always be found on Edna's face when days were spent with family in her home.
Candlepin bowling was one of Edna's favorite hobbies in which she received many rewards. Edna also enjoyed playing bingo, Yahtzee, and card games with family members. She never missed an opportunity to try to beat one of her grandchildren, which she adored, in any boardgame. Another hobby of Edna's included collecting lenox items along with snowbabies.
Edna was a kind-hearted, loving woman who will be dearly missed by everyone who was fortunate enough to know her.
Edna was predeceased by her husband, Richard A. DiMartino and her son, Joseph M. DiMartino.
Surviving members of Edna's family include her children, Cheryl A. Henderson of Milford NH, Cynthia M. Chesnulevich and son-in-law David of Merrimack NH, Maureen C. Arthur and son-in-law Robert of Manchester NH, Joanne M. Albani and son-in-law Daniel of South Windsor CT, David R. DiMartino and daughter-in-law Pamela of Salem NH and Jennifer D. Bates and son-in-law Timothy of Merrimack NH, as well as her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A special thank you to her granddaughter, Jenn Hurley who was also her caregiver.
Services will be held privately for the family along with a private burial at Last Rest Cemetery in Merrimack, NH.
