Obituary

Edna Huber, 76, of Merrimack, NH died unexpectedly on Friday, October 19 at Lahey Clinic in Burlington, MA.

She was born in New York City on January 1, 1936, the daughter of the late Henry and Zena Busch.

Mrs. Huber grew up in New Jersey and was educated at Ramsey High School and Berkeley Secretarial School in E. Orange. She became an executive secretary at Colgate- Palmolive-Peet in New York City.

She is survived by her high school sweetheart and husband of 56 years, Fred Huber of Merrimack, where they moved in 1967 and became active members of the community. In 1973, Edna and Phyllis Dugas co-founded and operated Suburban Travel Service of Merrimack.

The Hubers relocated to Baton Rouge, LA in 1992 where Fred served as CEO of Melamine Chemicals, Inc. Many enduring friendships were formed, largely due to Edna's endearing personality. They returned to their Merrimack home after retirement in 2002.

They have enjoyed a vacation home on Moosehead Lake in Rockwood, ME for forty years, and own Kelly's Landing Restaurant on the lake.

The Hubers have two daughters, Susan and husband Tim Bruno of Nottingham, NH; Kim Brady of Amherst who's husband John Brady died earlier this year. Their grandchildren are Angelo "Andy" Cutuli and wife Sharin of Raymond, Kimberlee and husband Brian Lenfest of Derry, John Brady of Scarborough, ME, Devin Brady of Greenville, ME, Morgan Brady and Daniel Brady of Amherst.

Edna will be most remembered for her love of life, her beautiful gardens and animals. Her strength, courage and love were shared with her children, grandchildren and close family friends every day. She was the "glue" in their lives.

The Hubers are long-time members of St. James United Methodist Church, 646 Daniel Webster Hwy, Merrimack where a memorial celebration of life will be held on November 10, 2012 at 11am. Visitation at Rivet Funeral Home will be private.
