Edward Paul LeDuc, 83, of Merrimack, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 16, 2022, at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack, surrounded by his loving family. Ed was born in Holyoke, MA on August 13, 1938, son of the late Alexander LeDuc and Rose (Rehbein) Benoit. Ed served his country in the United States Air Force from 1955-1959. He was a glass glazier by trade and worked for Granite State Glass and previously was a member of the IUPAT G laziers Local 1044 Union in Boston. Ed always had a house project which led him to tinkering in his workshop, he also enjoyed spending time at Lake Winnisquam, but most of all spending time with his family. Ed was known for his great sense of humor, his dance moves, and his strength and resiliency through his many health challenges.
Ed shared 45 years of marriage with his loving wife Louise (Dumont) LeDuc. They would have celebrated their anniversary on Saturday, July 23 rd . He will be forever loved and remembered by his sweet daughter Christine Pratte and her husband Christopher of Manchester, and darling grandson Jordan Edward Pratte. Jordan shares the same birthday (8/13) with his grandfather. Ed is also survived by his brothers Robert LeDuc of Longmeadow, MA, Thomas LeDuc of Agawam, MA, sisters Barbara Fields of Vero Beach, FL, Evelyn Lortie of Port St. Lucie, FL, Darlene Eastman of College Station, TX, and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents Ed is also predeceased by his brothers Richard and Ernest LeDuc.
A special thank you to the staff at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack for providing caring comfort to Ed and his family during his final days.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend calling hours at the Rivet Funeral Home, 425 Daniel Webster Highway, Merrimack on Thursday July 21st from 4-7 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM on Friday July 22nd at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 16 Baboosic Lake Road, Merrimack. Burial will take place at 12 Noon on Tuesday July 26th at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Ed's honor may be made to the New Hampshire Catholic Appeal (NHCA), PO Box 5456, Manchester, NH 03108 or Home Health and Hospice Care, 7 Executive Drive, Merrimack, NH 03054.
