It is with incredibly heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Edwin C. MacIntosh, 73, of Merrimack, NH on Saturday, August 29th, 2026 at his home.
Words cannot truly express the sadness and shock we are feeling as we try to come to terms with losing him so suddenly. He was a loving father and husband, and his absence will leave an immeasurable hole in our lives. We will forever cherish the memories we shared with him and carry his love with us.
He was born in Lowell, MA on May 26th, 1953 to the late Edwin L. and Virginia A. (Narankevicius) MacIntosh. He was raised in Billerica, MA and was a graduate of Billerica High School where he was also the football captain.
Ed was a Facilities Maintenance Manager for many years and people knew him as Mr. Fix It. He always made time in his work schedule to coach his three girls on nearly every soccer and basketball team they were on over the years. He loved the outdoors, especially the ocean and his daily walks. Nothing was more special to him than spending time with his family and grand-pups including the late Kobe, late Shiva, Hank and Clover.
Along with his parents, he was pre-deceased by his brother, Robert MacIntosh and his nephew, D.J. MacIntosh.
He will be forever loved and remembered by his wife of 47 years, Julie (McCarron) MacIntosh; his three daughters, Melissa M. Pawelczyk (and her husband Matt), Jaime V. MacIntosh (and her partner Rick Sands), and Jennifer K. MacIntosh along with his two sisters, Marilyn MacIntosh and Carolyn Adams.
We invite family and friends to join us in remembering and celebrating his life. Memorial visitation will be held at the Rivet Funeral Home, 425 Daniel Webster Highway, Merrimack NH on Friday, September 4th, 2026 from 4 – 6 PM with a service to follow at 6 PM in the funeral home chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Ed’s memory can be made to the Humane Society for Greater Nashua.
