Elaine T. Gooden, 71, of Milford passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 13 ^th , 2020 at Elliot Hospital in Manchester, NH. She was the widow of William D. Gooden, who pre-deceased her on September 1 ^st , 1997.

She was born in Abington, PA on June 3 ^rd , 1949 to the late Albert E. and Elaine (Brooks) Bacher. She was raised in Abington, PA and was a graduate of Abington Senior High School in Abington, PA.

Before becoming a full-time Mother in 1978, Elaine worked for Johnson & Johnson for 9 years.  She was last employed as a Special Education Aide for the Merrimack School District and retired in 2015.

Along with her parents, Albert and Elaine and husband William, she was pre-deceased by a brother, Albert C. Bacher.

Elaine devoted her life to her family, children, and grandchild.  She was the definition of a caregiver.  She supported her husband, William, through a long-fought illness.  If you ever needed her, she was there with a warm hug, a delicious meal, and open ears.  Everyone's happiness was Elaine's priority, she put loved ones first and was absolutely self-less.  She had a kind, generous heart and would help anyone in need, whether it was gift to cheer you up, volunteer work, or her work with children.

She will be forever loved and remembered by her beloved children, William S. Gooden and his partner Jaye Syc, Brian Gooden and his wife Ashlie, and Heather Gooden and her partner Thomas Colbert; a treasured granddaughter, Ava Gooden; a dearly-loved sister, Carlyn and her husband Chris Yerkes, along with several adored nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a date in the near future, all are welcome to attend, more details to follow.  A Memorial Mass will be held in PA at a later date for family.
