Ellen E. (Keefe) Petro, 77, of Merrimack, NH, passed away on Sunday, September 8th, 2024 at Courville of Manchester after a brief period of declining health.

She was born in Manchester, NH on August 29th, 1947 to the late John and Peggy (Stefis) Keefe. Raised in Manchester, she graduated from Memorial High School in 1965.

Ellen worked for Leavitt Department Store for many years with different capacities, but her last official position was being the Credit Manager. She had many interests, some of which included cooking, gardening, canning, music, loved animals and especially cats, enjoyed Autumn but most important was spending time with her family.

Along with her parents, she was pre-deceased by her brother John Keefe in 1995.

She will be forever loved and remembered by her husband of 56 years, Richard "Pete" Petro; three children, John Petro, Kathryn Petro and Richard Petro and his wife Jessica; four grandchildren, Alexandra Petro-Stone, William Petro, Jason Petro and Eliza Petro; a sister, Katy Keefe-Hancock and her husband Lee Hancock along with several nieces and nephews.

In accordance with Ellen's wishes, services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
