Elsa Varona Wenske, 70, of Nashua NH passed away peacefully on August 17, 2022, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Inabaan, Rosario La Union Philipines on February 24, 1952 to the late Gil and Asuncion (Cayoyang) Mendoza.

Elsa moved to Mountain View California in 1967.  As a young teenager, new to the United States, she continued her education and graduated in 1970 from Mountain View High School, as well as, completing a work study program at Moffet Federal Airfield.

At 20 years old, Elsa found herself to be a young bride and relocated to NH where she would begin her new life and raise her future family.

Elsa worked for many years as a machine operator with Osram Sylvania.  In her free time, she found comfort and pride in creating and caring for all types of plant life inside and outside of her home. Elsa had a love for singing, dancing, music, socializing and of course her children and grandchildren.  After she remarried, she had a newfound love of exploring the beauty NH had to offer and the two of them would be found anywhere their car rides would take them.

She will be forever loved and remembered by her husband Gunther Wenske; three children Elaine Carter, Travis Pupkis, Ann Marie and her husband Alfred Pellecchia, Jr; four grandchildren Kaitlyn, Lauren, Alfred III and Audrey; eight siblings and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation hours will be held at the Rivet Funeral Home, 425 Daniel Webster Highway, Merrimack on Thursday, September 1 from 5 – 7 PM with a service to follow in the chapel of the funeral home.
