Emily Frances (Wiinikainen) Hunter, 85, of Amherst NH, passed away on Wednesday, August 10 at Courville of Nashua. She was born in Gardner, MA, daughter of George and Sigrid Wiinikainen. Emily lived in Baldwinville, MA for many years. While raising her children, she fostered many babies and took in Fresh Air children for the Summer. She then worked as a food manager at Associated Grocers in Fitchburg MA and then as an office manager/bookkeeper for Claude Bunyard Designs prior to retirement. In her free time Emily enjoyed traveling, sewing, knitting and crocheting. Emily will be missed and never forgotten by her daughter, Jane Irish and Joel Irish of Amherst, son, Jeffrey Hunter and his wife Linda of Tacoma, WA, son Steven Hunter (deceased) and his wife Suzanne of Renton WA., 8 Grandchildren, and 12 Great Grandchildren. Emily is predeceased by her husband and soulmate, George W Hunter. Services will be held at a later date.
