Erik J. Higgins, 41 of Lyndeborough, NH went to be with his Savior, Tuesday, August 24, 2010. He was born in Nashua, NH on October 13, 1968 a son of Jack Z. Higgins Sr. and the late Lorraine (Ayotte) Higgins who died in 2006.

Erik spent most of his life in Merrimack and was a 1987 graduate of Merrimack High School, and was a former volunteer firefighter in Merrimack.

Erik was also a resident of Milford from 1994 until 2005; he lived in South Carolina from 2005-2008. He is currently a member of the Good News Bible Church in Wilton.

Erik was an avid Patriots and Red Sox fan. He enjoyed spending his time with his family and working on projects around the house. Erik also enjoyed helping others. Erik was a faithful follower of Christ and was living his life for Him at the time of his sudden death. He will be greatly missed by so many people.

He was employed at MTC Mechanical in Chelmsford, MA and had been employed with AC Heating & Air Conditioning in Merrimack.

Members of his family include his wife of 17 years, Samantha (Doverspike) Higgins, of Lyndeborough, NH; two sons, Ryan and Daniel Higgins, and a daughter Valerie Higgins; a paternal grandmother, Beatrice Ellis of Belfast, ME; two brothers, Jack Higgins Jr, and his son Joshua; Jason Higgins and his wife Dori, and their son Brady, of Merrimack; a sister in-law, Theresa and her husband Mike Weeden and their seven children, of Myrtle Beach, SC; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A memorial reception will be in the George R. Rivet Funeral Home, 425 Daniel Webster Hwy, Merrimack, NH, Sunday from 4-7 PM. A celebration of Erik?s life will be held in the Good News Bible Church, 27 Hutchinson Rd, Wilton, NH, Monday at 10 AM.
