Obituary

Frederic R. Huber, 88, longtime resident of Merrimack, NH passed away peacefully on January 5th, 2024.

Born in Jersey City, NJ, on March 31st, 1935, he was one of two children to the late Frederic M. and Marguerite (Springstead) Huber. Raised in Franklin Lakes, NJ he graduated from Ramsey High School where he met the love of his life, Edna. They shared a love for traveling, many four-legged furry companions, and time with family and friends.

Fred received his Bachelor's degree, in chemistry, from Bates College in Lewiston Maine. Beyond an education Fred gained lifelong friendships that he cherished until his last day. Before retirement, Fred was the President & CEO of Melamine Chemical in Baton Rouge, LA and prior had worked for many years as Executive Vice President of WR Grace in Nashua and Lexington Massachusetts.

Fred will be remembered for his love of photography, his enjoyment of sailing and boating on Moosehead Lake, Maine, a good round of golf, and of course a glass of Irish whisky. His stories, fierce love of Edna, and sharing of photographs will be missed by many.

Along with his parents, Fred was predeceased by his best friend and loving wife of 56 years, Edna (Busch) Huber.

He is survived by his sister, Marguerite; two daughters, Susan and Kim; six grandchildren, Andy, Kym, John, Devin, Morgan, and Dan; great grandson Jack. He will forever be loved and remembered by many.
