Jasinski, Sr.
October 31, 1933 – October 24, 2023
Frederick M. Jasinski, Sr., 89, of Merrimack, passed away at his home on Tuesday, October 24th, 2023 surrounded by his loving family. He was pre-deceased by his wife of 66 years, Judith (Kalisz) Jasinski on August 11th, 2022.
He was born in Manchester, NH on October 31st, 1933 to the late Michael and Stella (Mazur) Jasinski. Raised in Manchester, he graduated from St. Casimir's Parochial School in 1947, St. Josephs High School in 1951 and received his Associate degree in accounting in 1956.
Fred served in the U.S. Navy from 1951 to 1953, receiving an honorable discharge for his service. He went on to work for International Paper Company as an assistant planner, head planner, production control supervisor and lastly a plant controller until his retirement in 1989.
He was a lifetime member of the American Legion. He co-founded the NH Baseball Umpires School and the Greater Manchester Baseball Umpires Association, served as the past president of the NH Softball Umpires Association, NH Volleyball Association, Merrimack Youth Association and many others. He was inducted to the NH Baseball Umpires Hall of Fame in 2019 and the NH Softball Umpires Hall of Fame in 2004.
Following retirement, he and his wife Judy, for the next 20 years, wintered at their condo in Fort Myers, Florida.
Along with his wife Judy, Fred was pre-deceased by three daughters: Diane Williams, Kathy Jasinski, Lynda Miller and a grandson Seni Miller.
He will be forever loved and remembered by his children, Debra and her husband Mark Brown, and Frederick Jasinski, Jr.; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a brother, Stanley and his wife Cynthia Jasinski; a sister-in-law, Donna Kalisz along with a niece and nephew.
Visitation hours will be held at the Rivet Funeral Home, 425 Daniel Webster Highway, Merrimack on Monday, October 30th from 4 – 7 PM. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 16 Baboosic Lake Road, Merrimack on Tuesday, October 31st, at 9:30 AM. Burial will follow at St. Hedwig's Cemetery in Bedford.
