On March 25, 2022, Frederick Looney, 79 died unexpectedly at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston, MA after a brief illness, with his family at his side.

He was born in Weymouth, MA on March 15, 1943.  He is the son of late Bernie and Virginia (Barteaux) Looney.

Fred was an absolute legend in the retail sales industry.  After a lifelong career, he retired as the VP of Ann & Hope Department Store chain based out of Rhode Island.  Fred was nothing less than a hero to his four children and five grandchildren and will be greatly missed.  He was also a devoted husband who provided care for his wife Nancy until his passing.

In addition to his parents, Fred is pre-deceased by his son Sean Looney and sister Elaine Cappiello.

Fred is survived by his wife Nancy, a daughter, Erin Looney of Brighton, MA, two sons, Mark Looney, and his wife Rebecca, Brian Looney, and his wife Kristine all of Bedford, NH, five grandchildren, Sophia, Ronan, Quinn, Jack and James, one brother, William "Mickey" Looney and his wife Paula of Yarmouth, MA, and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service is scheduled for 11:00 am Saturday, April 9 ^th at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 511 Main St Falmouth, MA.  It will be immediately followed by a gathering at The Coonamessett Inn, 311 Gifford St. Falmouth, MA.

A celebration of life is scheduled for Saturday April 23 ^rd at Labelle Winery in Amherst, NH from 5-10 pm.  All are welcome!
