April 12, 1950 – August 29, 2020
Gary M. Granger, 70, of Hudson passed away on Saturday August 29, 2020.
He was born in Nashua, NH son of the late Guy and Nelly Granger. At the age of 17, Gary went on to serving his country with the United States Marine Corps on the USS Guadalcanal. In 1970, he married Lorna Belleau in Jacksonville, NC. In 1972, Gary and Lorna settled in Hudson and stayed since then.
Prior to retirement, Gary worked as a mechanic at Nassar Ford in Lawrence, MA and after their closing went to Drum Hill Ford in Lowell. In his free time, he enjoyed being a member of the American Legion Post 48 in Hudson, the NRA, and HOG, he also enjoyed Nascar, fishing, hunting, camping, snowmobiling, riding his motorcycle, hiking, being handy and to be considered a Jack of all trades, but most of all he loved spending time with his family especially his grandson.
Gary will be missed and never forgotten by his wife of 50 years Lorna Granger of Hudson, sons Dennis Michael Granger of Hudson, Brian Michael Granger of Henniker, siblings Gayle Granger of Harrison, ME, Cindy Whaley and her husband Francis of Merrimack, John P. Granger of Merrimack, Karen Cabral and her husband Ernest Cabral Jr of Hudson, and Grandson Thomas Scott Granger of Hudson, along with many nieces and nephews.
Gary was predeceased by his son Scott Michael Granger who passed on June 26, 1999 and brother Guy R. Granger Jr.
A graveside service for Gary will be held on Tuesday September 8 th at 10 AM at Last Rest Cemetery in Merrimack.
