George L. Adams, 87, longtime resident of Merrimack passed away on Tuesday, September 12th, 2023 at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack after a period of declining health.

He was born in Keene, NH on September 11th, 1936 to the late Erwin and Frances (Cobb) Adams. He was raised in Keene, attended Keene High School, Vermont Academy and received his Bachelor's degree in History from Keene State College.

George was an elementary teacher for the Nashua School District for over 30 years before his retirement in 1997.

He will be forever loved by his wife of 62 years, Elizabeth (Wyman) Adams; two children, John Adams and his wife Maureen and Jennifer and her husband Scott Hand; four grandchildren, Sean and Meghan Adams and Brianna and Noah Hand; a great-grandson, Jadiel Sanchez; three siblings, Carolyn Hartnett, Nancy Blastos and James Adams along with several nieces and nephews.
