George Russell Benoit, 19, lifelong resident of Merrimack, NH passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, December 19th, 2024.

He was born in Manchester, NH on July 6th, 2005, one of two sons of Michael and Mary (Russell) Benoit. Raised in Merrimack, he was a graduate of Merrimack High School in 2023 and was currently attending classes at SNHU.

While enrolled in school, George worked as a cook for the Lobster Boat restaurant in Merrimack for the past several years. Outside of work, he enjoyed hiking and camping, playing tennis and basketball, listening to music, playing video games, watching UFC and spending time with his friends and family.

He was pre-deceased by his paternal grandfather, Michael F. Benoit and his maternal grandfather, George E. Russell.

He will be forever loved by his parents, Michael and Mary; his brother, Colby Benoit; paternal grandmother, Ann Marie Benoit; maternal grandmother, Kathleen Russell; aunts and uncles, Patricia and her husband Stephen Berger, Ellen Russell and the late Lawrence Russell, Judith and her husband Brian Greenfield, Stephen Russell and his wife Diane and Andrea and her husband Robert Seltzer along with many cousins and friends.

Visitation hours will be held at the Rivet Funeral Home, 425 Daniel Webster Highway, Merrimack NH on Sunday, December 29th, 2024 from 3 – 5 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 16 Baboosic Lake Road, Merrimack on Monday, December 30th, 2024 at 10 AM. Burial will follow in Last Rest Cemetery.
