George W. Donnelly, 86, of Merrimack, NH passed away on Tuesday, April 9th, 2024 at St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua, NH after a period of declining health.

He was born in Lowell, MA on December 13th, 1937, one of three sons to the late Maybelle (Rigby) and Robert E. Donnelly, Sr. Raised in Billerica, MA, he was a graduate of Howe High School.

George first enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and transferred to the U.S. Army in 1963 and served until his honorable discharge in 1965. After his discharge, he went on to work for Teamsters Local 633 as a truck driver for over 30 years until his retirement in 1998.

He was pre-deceased by his wife Louise (Wetherbee) Donnelly in 1997 along with his two brothers, Robert E. Donnelly, Jr. and Richard Donnelly.

He is survived by his four children, James Donnelly, Mark Donnelly and his wife Wendy, Joseph Donnelly and his wife Teresa and Kathleen and her husband Scott LaRocque; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren along with nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held at the Rivet Funeral Home, 425 Daniel Webster Highway, Merrimack NH on Monday, April 15th, 2024 from 5 – 8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 16 Baboosic Lake Road, Merrimack NH on Tuesday, April 16th at 9:30 AM.
