George Warren Hunter, 85, died after a long illness May 3 , 2020 in Amherst, NH. He was born July 17, 1934 in Gardner, MA to Charles and Bernice McCrillis Hunter. George attended Baldwinville schools and graduated from the former Templeton High School.

He leaves his wife, Emily Wiinikainen Hunter of Amherst, NH, a son, Dr. Jeffrey Hunter of Tacoma, WA, a daughter, Jane M Irish of Amherst, NH. A son, Steven Hunter predeceased him in 2014 in Renton, WA. He also leaves 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

For many years George worked at Baldwinville Products in Baldwinville and Decotone/Printworld in Westminster before transferring to Monroe, NC. He retired in 1999.

In his retirement George enjoyed camping and traveling in his RV for three years then settled in Wesley Chapel, FL for a few years before returning to New England to be near family.
