Gregory "Greg" Worthington Thomas passed away on the morning of Saturday, February 12, 2022, just two months before his 61st birthday. He was born on April 19, 1961 in New London, CT and graduated in 1979 from Karns High School in Knoxville, Tennessee before enrolling at University of Tennessee, where he continued to excel in music and sports. He was a dedicated and hardworking employee of Pfeiffer Vacuum from 1985 until 2012.
Greg was a talented musician who contributed his guitar and vocal gifts to several New England acts, including Fantasia, JR Blacker and Project Mess. As a member of the Sons of the American Legion, Post #98 Merrimack, Greg also served as an original charter member and the first Director of the American Legion Riders for this post until 2012. Greg was humble, witty, and easy going. He brought joy to everyone around him.
In recent years, Greg enjoyed trips to Maine with fiancé Heather and her children, attending football games, listening to music of all varieties, a hot cup of cocoa, and the company of his favorite dog, Mia.
Greg was predeceased by his parents, Jon and Elizabeth (Goode) Thomas.
The fiancé of Heather Roberts, of Merrimack, and former husband of Lisa Thomas, of Milford, Greg was also the father of Michaela Fodor and her husband Stephen, of Manchester and Angela Thomas and her partner Seamus Menihane of MA; and the stepfather of Logan Roberts and his girlfriend Dezarae Fillmyer of ME and Ian Roberts and his girlfriend Emily Beard, Ryan Roberts and Madison Roberts, all of Merrimack; two brothers, Marc Thomas and significant other Marybeth Marcellino, of Merrimack and Troy Thomas and wife, Jillian Caldwell of VA; a sister, Rebekah Thomas of MA; cousins Sheree and Jeff Brown of CT; nieces, Lexus Philbrick of Milford, Madison Leach of Nashua and Brittany Levandowski of VT, along with many friends.
Services and Celebration of Life to be announced.
