Heather M. (Adamiak) Fairbanks, 51, of Merrimack NH passed away on Thursday, October 16th, 2025 at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack after a short battle with cancer.
She was born in Worcester, MA on December 21st, 1973, daughter of Arthur and the late Gail (Johnson) Adamiak. Raised in Worcester, MA, she was a graduate of Worcester Vocational School and attended classes at Nashua Community College.
Heather worked for Catholic Medical Center in Manchester, NH as a Unit Coordinator. Previously she drove a school bus for STA and the Merrimack School District where she was known as Miss Heather and got to drive so many wonderful children.
In her free time, she enjoyed sitting on the beach, snowmobiling, reading and spending time with her family, including her cat Smokey and new puppy Zeke. She was passionately involved in the Friends of Merrimack Dog Park after making so many friends there with the dogs and people over the years. She served on the Merrimack Parks and Recreation Committee to help with the dog park and all the other community activities the Park and Recreation department runs.
She will be forever loved and remembered by her husband of 25 years, Nathaniel "Nat" Fairbanks; two sons, Clayton Fairbanks and Camden Fairbanks and his girlfriend Anacelis Candelario; her father Arthur Adamiak; a brother, Robert Adamiak; brother-in-law Jon Fairbanks and his wife Kristen along with their three children, Conor, Ronan and Abby and long-time friend of Clayton and Camden and honorary family member, Jacob Gardner.
Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours at the Rivet Funeral Home, 425 Daniel Webster Highway, Merrimack on Thursday, October 23rd, 2025 from 4 – 6 PM.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers to make a memorial contribution in Heather's memory to the Friends of Merrimack Dog Park using the following address:
