Helen M. (Young) Grant, 88, of Merrimack NH and former resident of Hooksett, NH, passed away on June 20th, 2024 at her home with her family by her side.

Born in Nashua, NH on August 20th, 1935, Helen was one of eight children of the late Francis and Esmeralda (Chates) Young. Raised in Manchester, she attended Central High School.

Helen enjoyed knitting, crocheting, snowmobiling, bingo and camping. She was the former owner of Helen's Ceramic Studios. She and her husband, George, owned and operated G. Grant Trucking and Moving Company.

She was pre-deceased by her loving husband, George B. Grant, with whom she enjoyed forty-seven years of marriage, and her siblings Albert Young, Barbara Rafferty, and Alberta Saucier.

Helen is survived by her loving children: Roberta Libby and her fiancé, Greg, of Manchester; William Libby Sr. and his wife, Dorothy, of Hooksett; Peter Libby and his wife, Katrinka, of Weatherford, TX; Linda Newell and her husband, Steve, of Newbury, NH; George Grant IV and his wife, Sharon, of Hooksett; Beverly Pouliot and her husband, Raymond, of Deerfield; and Albert Grant and his Fiancée, Tracy, of Merrimack.

She also leaves behind her sisters, Mildred Labore of Zephyrhills, FL and Virginia White of Manchester; her brothers, Frank Young and his wife, Lori, of TN, and George Young of Milford; 16 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and many friends, nieces and nephews.

Visitation hours will be held at the Rivet Funeral Home, 425 Daniel Webster Highway, Merrimack on Thursday, June 27th, 2024 from 4 – 7 PM. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Friday, June 28th at 10 AM followed by burial at Pine Grove Cemetery in Manchester.
