Obituary

James P. Keegan, 89, of Candia passed away on Wednesday, August 11 th , 2021 at the Elliot Hospital in Manchester after a brief illness. He was pre-deceased by his wife of 49 years, Ellen Mae (Chick) Keegan, who died on October 17 th , 2014.

He was born in Derry, NH on May 6 th , 1932 to the late James F. Keegan and Pauline M. (Parshley) Healey. He graduated from Pinkerton Academy and received his Associate's degree from Hesser College.

Jim was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army and served during the Korean Conflict. After a 20-year career, he retired at the rank of Master Sergeant. He then had a long career at Lockheed-Martin, now Sanders, and retired in 1997.

He enjoyed crossword puzzles, was an avid reader and Red Sox fan and spent many years traveling with his late wife, Ellen.

He will be forever loved and remembered by his three sons, Anthony Mantini and his wife Joanna, George Mantini and his wife Abby and James D. Keegan and his wife Sue; two daughters, Linda Cepeck and her husband Brian and Patricia Dustin; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a brother, Joseph Keegan along with several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at the Rivet Funeral Home, 425 Daniel Webster Highway, Merrimack on Friday, August 20 th , 2021 at 11 AM. Burial with military honors will follow at Last Rest Cemetery in Merrimack.
