James R. Mendes, 60, of Merrimack, NH and formerly of Nashua, NH, passed away unexpectedly at home on September 15th, 2025.

He was born in Dracut, MA on July 10th, 1965, the son of late Daniel and Lorraine (Barselou) Mendes.  James was employed at Conifer Health Dartmouth in Manchester, NH, where he worked as a patient representative. He studied medical terminology, billing and coding and graduated with high honors. James was a private man that loved his work, but in his free time he enjoyed playing card games on his phone.

James is survived by his loving wife, Brenna (Marquis) Mendes of 27 years. They married on June 6th,1998 and always joked "We beat everyone on dating, only 6 months".  James is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws along with his dog Mitsu and his three cats, Coconut, Nokomis, and Nefretitti. James was extremely loved and will be missed dearly by all of his loved ones.

Per the family's request, there are no services to be held at this time.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in James's memory can be made to the Neurology Department of Dartmouth Hitchcock, in Nashua or Manchester, New Hampshire.
