Janice Ellen Gazzotti-Gregoire, 82, of Merrimack, NH passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, August 7th, 2025, at St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua, NH.

She was born in Haverhill, MA on January 6th, 1943, the daughter of the late John and Margaret (Pinkham) Gazzotti. Janice was raised in Haverhill and graduated from Haverhill High School.

Janice resided in Merrimack, NH where she raised her sons, Corey and Garrett. During that time, she very much enjoyed being a host for foreign exchange students and would volunteer for the Middle School Camping trips to Camp MI TE NA for many years. Janice loved flowers and plants of any kind and especially enjoyed going with her friends to the flower and orchid shows. Because Janice's mother passed away when she was young, Janice had to learn how to cook on her own. She was not one to go out to eat often and enjoyed cooking at home and became an excellent cook. On any given day if you stopped by her home, you would see cookbooks and cooking magazines.  Janice was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 98 Merrimack at which she served as District 2 Director and Unit 98 past president and currently serving as the unit Chaplain. She was a devoted Catholic and attended mass each week for many years and served as a Eucharistic Minister for many years. She was also one of the original members of the American Legion Color Guard and marched in many local parades over the years.

Janice had been employed by the NH State Liquor Commission for over 20 years working first at store #27 then #69 where she had many friends that she considered family. Store #69 will never be the same as she was tough and set in her ways, but under that she was caring, smart, thoughtful, and very funny.  Janice had such a sense of humor and made so many people laugh and smile.  She had this giggle that she would do when she told something funny. Janice loved to dress for the holidays or just any day and loved accessories, especially her crock shoes decorated with Jibbitz.

Janice has touched so many lives weather you knew her from Work, VFW, American Legion, or Church. She was pre-deceased by her son Garrett Gregoire on July 19th, 2019.

Janice is survived by her son, Corey Gregoire (Jamie) and her two grandchildren, Ashton and Ryann Gregoire.

Per the family's request, calling hours will not be held. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mercy Church, located at16 Baboosic Lake Road, in Merrimack NH on Friday, August 22nd, 2025, at 9:30 AM with a gathering to follow in the church hall to share our memories of Janice.
