Jean I. (Laghetto) Zwirble, 87, of Bedford, NH and a former longtime resident of Douglas St. in Merrimack, died Monday March 28, 2023 at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack, NH.

She was born in Stoneham, MA on Oct. 7, 1935 a daughter of the late Louis and Clara Laghetto.

Known for her positive spirit and welcoming smile, she constantly put others before herself.  It was these qualities and her immense kindness that drew people to her.  The strong friendships she formed later in life was an example to all of us that you are never too old to build a supportive community.  As someone once said of her, "She was the real-deal".

Members of her surviving family include a son Louis and his wife Zoe; four daughters, Michelle Moriarty and her husband Bill of Manchester, NH, Clara Zwirble of NY, NY, Jeanne and Rick Crawford of Moab, UT; and Susan Zwirble and her husband Paul McAuliffe of Arlington, MA; four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, two brothers, Louis Laghetto of MA, and Bob Laghetto of Ohio; a sister Helen Sereno of NC and several nieces and nephews.

She was pre-deceased by her husband John J. Zwirble and a sister Josephine Fierimonte.

There are no calling hours. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
