Obituary

Jeannie O'Brien, 70, of Merrimack NH passed away on March 21, 2020.

She was born in Malden, MA on May 24, 1949, to the late Robert and Marjorie (Leete) O'Brien. Jeannie grew up in Wakefield MA, and was a graduate of Wakefield Memorial High School class of 1968. Jeannie lived abroad and attended the University of Sydney in Australia studying English Literature and Cinema Studies. While in Boston, she worked as a Resident Assistant at the Showa Boston Institute before moving to Florida working for a public library and eventually Goodwill. She then became the primary caregiver for her sister, Marjorie Marison, to whom she was very close.

Jeannie enjoyed dancing and was an avid fan of film, in particular horror movies. She held an impressive knowledge of movie history and it was very hard to stump her on any movie trivia.

In addition to her parents, Jeannie is predeceased by her brother Robert O'Brien Jr. Sadly, her beloved sister, Marjorie, passed away more recently on June 21, 2024.

Gone, but not forgotten, Jeannie will always be remembered by her nieces and nephews, Eric Marison and his wife Karen of Nashua, NH; Scott Marison and his wife Guang Hwa of Honolulu, HI; Kimberly Miller and her husband Eric of Mountain View, CA; Stephanie McDonnell and her husband Cory of Bradenton, FL; Sean O'Brien and his wife Kiersten of Osprey, FL; as well as many cousins.

A memorial service will be held for both Jeannie and her sister Marjorie on Thursday, July 25th, 2024, at 11:00 AM at the Rivet Funeral Home located at 425 Daniel Webster Highway in Merrimack, NH with a burial to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Nashua NH.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jeannie's memory to the Humane Society for Greater Nashua, https://www.hsfn.org/tributegifts/
