Joan Lenora Luke, 82 of Merrimack NH passed away peacefully, surrounded by her husband and children, on Saturday November 16th, 2024 at Southern Memorial Hospital, Nashua. Joan was born in Somerville, MA on January 29th, 1942 to Edward and Mary Silveira. Her family includes her soulmate of 61 years Ernie Luke, and her children Lauren Luke of Merrimack NH, Ernie and Amanda Luke of Derry NH, Jennifer and Steven Flagg of Methuen MA and Sean and Stephanie Luke of Mt. Pleasant SC. Joan also leaves behind her nine beloved grandchildren, Caty, Allison, Celina, Christian, Seanna, Patrick, Madeleine, Emma and Cooper.

Joan loved her family very much and enjoyed spending time with them, especially her grandchildren who affectionally called her "Granny".  Her most enjoyment was spending time with her husband Ernie, particularly taking rides to the mountains, which she loved. She took pride in her indoor plant garden, particularly her geraniums, cooking new recipes because she was a foodie and being outdoors tinkering in her yard. Joan had a strong faith in God and loved attending mass at Saint John Neumann Church with her good friend Ellie, they never missed their Saturday dates.

Joan was always ready for a good time; she was the life of the party. She taught us how to be strong, resilient and to always speak your truth, to never settle. Joan was a strong soul in spirit, mind and body.

There are no calling hours. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Sat. Nov. 23,2024 at 10 AM in St. John Neumann Church, 708 Milford Road, Merrimack, NH.
