Joseph "Big Joe" H. Pollard, 63, of Manchester, NH and a former longtime resident of Merrimack died Tuesday May 3, 2022 at the Elliot Hospital in Manchester after a period of declining health.

He was born in Nashua, NH on May 16, 1959 a son of the late George and Jacqueline (Dupont) Pollard.

Joey lived in Merrimack almost all his life, and was the owner of the former MidCity Paving in Merrimack.

Joe loved riding his Harley Davidson, racing his stock car back in the day and being the life of the party. There was not a place you could go where someone didn't know "Big Joe"!

But most of all he loved his family and friends. Joe would always be there with a helping hand. He opened his heart and home to so many people during his lifetime. His laugh was infectious and his smile would brighten a room. Breathe easy big guy, you will be missed by many.

In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by a daughter Kimberly Pollard who died Dec. 3, 2021 and a granddaughter Briana Burgess who died on May 20, 2011.

Members of his surviving family include his wife, Pauline M. (Durocher) Pollard, two daughters, Brittany Pollard, and Ashley Pollard and her boyfriend Shane Crawford all of Manchester; two grandchildren, Trevor and Evan Burgess; three brothers, Lee Pollard and his wife Terri of Cocoa, FL; George Pollard and his wife Connie of Lyndeborough, NH; and Sam Pollard and his wife Stacy of Weare, NH; a sister, Cheryl Carter and her husband Glenn, of Lyndeborough; and several nieces and nephews and cousins.

Memorial calling hours will be held in the Rivet Funeral Home & Crematorium, 425 Daniel Webster Hwy, Merrimack, NH Monday from 5-8 PM. A Celebration of Life will be held from 1:00pm until 5:00pm on June 5, 2022 at the VFW Hall in Milford NH.
