Obituary

Joseph "JT" Roderick III, 72, of Hollis New Hampshire, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, September 12th, 2024.

Born in Bangor Maine on June 7th, 1952, to the late Bertha (Mace) and Joseph Thomas Roderick Jr. JT grew up in Orland Maine on the Old Castine Road. Attended Higgins Classical Institute, graduating from Bucksport High. Went on to complete an Associates of Science degree in Forest Management Technology.

JT began his professional career as a carpenter and roofing foreman. He was a true visionary always able to see the end result of a project before it began. Clever and intelligent, JT never lost his love for working with his hands. An expert in his field he went on to create his own company Roderick Construction where he did exterior and interior home and business remodeling.

In his free time, JT enjoyed life to the fullest, a true free spirit. His generosity and kindness were seen by all who met him. His smile and joy for laughter was contagious, his love felt by all.

He loved the outdoors and cultivating his property/home in Hollis NH with his beloved wife of 40 years. In recent years he enjoyed working with his daughter Nicole with their first home in Amherst.

JT showed his passion for music at an early age, becoming a self-taught musician specializing in percussion. He was an incredible drummer, playing in various bands throughout his life never losing his love for music or the big show.

JT was an extremely talented individual, his creativity manifesting in many platforms/avenues. JT had a special talent for the spooktacular, bringing joy to so many with his funny antics and creating many memories for family, friends and his community.

Friend to all who met him, most generous of souls. Missed and beloved by his family and friends forever and always.

Along with his parents, JT was predeceased by his brother Russell Roderick.

Gone, but not forgotten, JT is survived by his loving wife, Bonnie of 40 years; his two daughters, Nicole Mace Roderick and her husband Josh Brush, and Danielle Moskowitz and her husband Alan Moskowitz; his sister Deeanne McDonald; his brother Timothy Roderick; two grandchildren, Zoe and Nathan Moskowitz; and his great granddaughter Nora.
