Joseph K. Segien, Sr., 81 of Merrimack, NH died Monday November 1 ^st , 2021 at Elliot Hospital in Manchester, NH after a period of declining health.

He was born in Waltham, MA on July 15 ^th , 1940 a son of the late August and Vera (Anderson) Segien.

Joe served in the U.S. Navy for over 20 years during the Vietnam War and received a purple heart before proudly retiring in 1976.

Most recently before retirement, he had been employed at Velcro USA in Manchester.

Along with his parents, Joe was pre-deceased by two brothers, August "Joe" and Arthur Segien.

Members of his family include his wife of 57 years, Anna (Carimando) Segien of Merrimack, two sons, Anthony "Tony" Segien and his wife Lori of Weare, NH and Joseph K. Segien, Jr. and his wife Maralyn of New Boston, NH; one daughter, Maria Giroux and her husband Christopher of Merrimack; seven grandchildren, Zackery Joyce, Christopher and Matthew Giroux, Kathleen, Isaac, Noah and Nicholas Segien; a brother, Ben Segien; a sister, Vera Rapuano; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be private. Burial with military honors will be held in Last Rest Cemetery, Merrimack, NH.
